Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS is seeking a Purchaser to issue and follow up on purchase orders, conduct market screening and prepare inquiry documents in close cooperation with engineering.

You will perform supplier evaluations, monitor delivery, manage variations and ensure compliance with guidelines. English and Norwegian language skills are required; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain management in Oil & Gas.
• Commercially aware and professional with independent teamwork.
• Strong oral and written communication in Norwegian and English.
• Structured and efficient work style in line with guidelines.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• High data discipline preferred; flexible and collaborative.

Job Description

• Issue and follow-up on purchase orders with strong emphasis on cost reduction and value creation
• Conduct market screening to identify cost-effective suppliers and solutions
• Prepare inquiry documents for equipment and services in close cooperation with engineering
• Perform commercial evaluations of quotations
• Monitor and ensure delivery within the agreed timeframe, cost, and quality
• Manage variation handling
• Handle risks, deviations, and invoice processing
• Ensure all activities comply with our guidelines, work instructions, and procedures
• Continuously work on improvements to reduce internal and external risks and costs, enhance delivery quality, and strengthen collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree Relevant subjects: Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering and similar
• Minimum3 years’ experience within supply chain management in Oil & Gas
• You are commercially aware
• You are professional and an independent team player
• You have strong oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English
• You work in a structured and efficient manner, always in accordance with applicable guidelines
• Experience with SAP is an advantage
• A high degree of data discipline is preferred
• You are flexible and willing to adapt to changes
• You engage positively with others and demonstrate a high degree of collaboration skills
