Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a Hydrodynamicist / Propeller Blade Designer to join our Hydrodynamics team. You will work with CFD and model testing to create efficient propeller and rudder designs for international customers, collaborating with yards, designers and owners.

You will lead hydrodynamic research projects, maintain high quality work, and continuously improve methods. A Master’s in a relevant field, strong English, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Very good English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work with international customers and suppliers.
• Initiative, methodical approach and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt propeller and rudder designs using CFD and model testing.
• Collaborate with shipyards, ship designers and ship owners to meet customer needs.
• Lead hydrodynamic research projects and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
