Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking an Engineer to join the Maritime Simulation team in Horten. You will install and configure hardware and software for our simulator portfolio, contribute to global deliveries, and collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure lasting customer satisfaction.

Based in Horten with some travel, you will operate within the KM BMS framework and support a safer, greener maritime training ecosystem. A relevant degree and maritime experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Holds a certificate of apprenticeship or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience from the maritime industry is a benefit.
• Proactive, self-driven with a positive attitude and good cooperation skills.
• Willing and able to travel.
• Will qualify for security clearance by Norwegian authorities.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure hardware and software for the Maritime Simulator product portfolio (ship bridge, engine and cargo handling simulators).
• Contribute to deliveries of products to clients worldwide.
• Ensure customer satisfaction over time.
• Work in project teams with Project Managers and other Engineers.
• Perform work in accordance with the KM Business Management System (BMS).

• Hardware and software installation and configuration.
• Contribute to deliveries of our products to clients worldwide.
• Ensure customer satisfaction – over time.
• Work in project teams with skilled Project Managers and other Engineers.
• Performance of all work according to the working methods set out in the KM Business Management System (BMS).

You are a person who:

• Holds a certificate of apprenticeship or bachelor’s degree within relevant fields or has relevant experience.
• Experience from the maritime industry is a benefit.
• Is proactive, self-driven with a positive attitude, and good cooperation skills.
• Willing and able to travel.
• Will qualify for security clearance by Norwegian authorities.
