Job summary

SIGRA is seeking a Project Manager - Composites to lead vessel and structure projects for maritime, aquaculture and defence customers. You will work with carbon and glass fibre, vacuum infusion, hand lamination and outfitting, with production and quayside delivery at Årsnes.

This role requires an engineering degree and 3–10 years of PM experience in the sector. You will coordinate teams, manage budgets and schedules, ensure QHSE compliance and liaise with owners, yards and contractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in marine, composites, materials or mechanical engineering.
• 3–10 years project management in composite production, boatbuilding or maritime.
• Knowledge of carbon/glass fibre, vacuum infusion and hand lamination; class docs.
• NS 9416 knowledge is a plus; fluent in Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from contract to sea delivery, incl. schedule, budget and variations.
• Coordinate production and outfitting teams; manage shipowners, yards, and contractors.
• Follow QHSE, inspection, quality plans, class docs and certification packages.
• Coordinate integrated deliveries with SIGRA sister companies and report progress.

From an empty mould to an outfitted vessel, every stage of a composite build depends on the decisions made before it. You will keep that whole delivery in view.

SIGRA is looking for a Project Manager - Composites to lead vessel and structure projects for maritime, aquaculture and defence customers. You will work with carbon and glass fibre, vacuum infusion, hand lamination and outfitting, with production and quayside delivery at Årsnes.

What you will do

• Own composite vessel and structure projects from contract to sea delivery, including schedule, budget and variation orders.
• Coordinate production and outfitting teams and maintain relationships with shipowners, yards, aquaculture companies and defence contractors.
• Follow up QHSE, inspection and quality plans, class documentation and certification packages.
• Coordinate integrated deliveries with SIGRA sister companies and report progress to group management.

What you bring

• An engineering degree is required, with a background in marine, composite, materials or mechanical engineering.
• Ideally 3-10 years of project management experience in composite production, boatbuilding, shipyards or maritime industry.
• Understanding of carbon and glass fibre, vacuum infusion and hand lamination, plus familiarity with class documentation processes.
• Experience with NS 9416 is an advantage. You are commercially aware and fluent in Norwegian and English.
