Job summary

Bitdeer seeks a detail-oriented Project Manager to support end-to-end delivery of a state-of-the-art AI Datacenter construction and 180MW energization project in Tydalen, Norway. You will coordinate schedules, procurement, and daily communications among architects, suppliers, local contractors, and global stakeholders.

The role requires 4+ years managing complex construction or mission-critical projects, strong PM tools proficiency, and Norwegian/English language skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 4+ years supporting complex construction or mission-critical projects (datacenters, industrial facilities, power infrastructure), with experience coordinating multi-vendor timelines and site teams.
  • DC Operations Experience: Preferably experience from Data centers in operations.
  • Tools & Project Controls: Strong proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project/Primavera, Smartsheet, Excel), plus document control platforms (e.g., Procore, Aconex, SharePoint).
  • Technical Familiarity: Working knowledge of datacenter infrastructure (power distribution, switchgear/transformers, cooling systems, commissioning/turnover documentation).
  • International/Multicultural Coordination: Experience supporting projects across time zones and cultures; comfortable coordinating between global engineering teams, local contractors, and suppliers.
  • Commissioning Exposure: Familiarity with commissioning phases, readiness planning, and structured turnover (checklists, test plans, punch lists, as-builts).
  • Norwegian Context: Understanding of Norwegian contractor landscape, HSE expectations, and coordination with utilities/regulators is a plus.
  • Communication & Organization: Excellent written/verbal communication, meticulous follow-through, and ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing detail.
  • Language Skills: Norwegian or Swedish, and English proficiency are a requirement. Ability to quickly and correctly type technical minutes of meeting and agreed action points in sitting meetings.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stakeholder Support Mindset: Proven ability to keep busy stakeholders aligned—anticipating needs, surfacing risks early, and driving action closure.
  • Preferably PMP or another equivalent certificate.
  • Working alongside the Senior Project Manager for the TDC AI Project.
  • Comfortable working independently especially when the Senior Project Manager is off site.
  • With a getting things done attitude, a proactive organized mindset focused on capturing, clarifying, and executing tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Leader in defining scope, maintaining the master project schedule, tracking milestones, and coordinating inputs for the budget across construction, fit-out, and energization phases for the Norway datacenter.
  • Track the Cross-functional progress between AI Datacenter Architects, engineering, procurement, and the construction team to ensure design deliverables, submittals, and field execution stay aligned (including high-density power/cooling requirements).
  • Manage contract documentation and procurement workflows for international and local suppliers; track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor deliverables; support contractor onboarding and compliance documentation in a Norwegian regulatory environment.
  • Assist the Project Leader in risk/issue logs, action registers, and change order trackers; elevate blockers early (logistics, supply chain constraints, permitting, HSE items) and support mitigation planning with stakeholders.
  • Run weekly project rhythms (agendas, minutes, actions), produce clear status updates (schedule, budget inputs, critical path items, risks), and maintain stakeholder communications across local and global teams.
  • Own the project documentation system (RFI/submittals log, drawing revisions, meeting records, change logs), ensuring version control, timely distribution, and audit-ready organization.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to support the end-to-end delivery of our new state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) Datacenter construction and 180MW energization project in Tydalen Norway. With 4 independent power trains supporting Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL 144.

This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting complex construction or mission-critical infrastructure projects who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. The Project Manager will support the Project Leader by coordinating schedules, documentation, procurement tracking, and day-to-day communication across AI Datacenter Architects, specialized technology suppliers, local Norwegian contractors, and internal global stakeholders. The primary objective is to help keep the project organized, on track, and aligned to schedule, budget inputs, and technical requirements—ensuring timely execution and a successful commissioning and handover.

What You Will Be Responsible For
