Job summary

Fortica AS in Norway is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, delivery, and completion of data-center projects across Narvik, Kristiansand, and Fyresdal. You will coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.

The role requires 10–15 years of PM experience in data centers or critical infrastructure, strong English skills, and ability to oversee complex technical environments with cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager in data centers or critical infrastructure
  • Proven record delivering projects with multiple disciplines and stakeholders
  • Strong experience with project planning, cost control, risk management, scheduling, and reporting
  • Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English; Norwegian is a strong advantage
  • Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or related discipline; certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of data-center construction, expansion, retrofit, or infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, rotations on the project and reporting.
  • Coordinate internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure delivery meets technical specs, quality, safety standards, and milestones.
  • Monitor progress, identify issues early, and implement mitigation actions.
  • Manage change requests, documentation, procurement activities, and contract-related deliverables.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Support commissioning, handover, close-out, and lessons-learned processes.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements, HSE expectations, and company policies.

Experienced Project Manager for Data Centers

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, delivery, and successful completion of data-center projects in Norway - in Narvik, Kristiansand and Fyresdal.

The role is suited to a structured, commercially minded professional who can coordinate multiple stakeholders and deliver complex technical projects safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

Required qualifications and experience

10-15 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager, ideally within data centers, critical infrastructure, construction, electrical systems, mechanical systems, energy, telecoms, or similar complex technical environments.

Proven record of delivering projects involving multiple disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders.

Strong experience with project planning, cost control, risk management, scheduling, and reporting.

Good understanding of technical project delivery, preferably including power, cooling, building services, network infrastructure, or commissioning.

Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with diverse project teams.

Excellent organisational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Professional fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

Norwegian language skills are a strong advantage, but not a requirement.

Preferred qualifications

Relevant degree or professional background in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.

Project-management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, IPMA, or equivalent.

Experience working on projects and general HSE practices.

Experience with data-center standards, critical facilities, commissioning, or operational handover.

Proactive, dependable, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented while able to maintain a strong overview of project priorities.

Collaborative and confident in communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
