Job summary

INEOS in Norway (Vestland, Tyssedal) seeks a Project Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team and help develop and execute high‑quality projects. You will receive responsibility, professional challenges, and influence over processes and outcomes.

Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and following up on projects from start to finish; preparing drawings and calculations; contributing to tender processes and cost estimation; and ensuring quality assurance and risk assessment

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field (mechanical).
  • 3–5 years of project management experience; new graduates welcome.
  • Experience from construction industry is advantageous.
  • Strong IT skills with CAD/CAM tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor) and BIM.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and follow up on projects from start to finish.
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations and specifications.
  • Contribute to tender processes and cost estimation; present costs to INEOS management.
  • Perform quality assurance, risk assessments, and documentation.
  • Maintain contact with customers, suppliers and partners.
  • Support continuous improvement of methods and processes.

You will join a multidisciplinary team where you will receive responsibility, professional challenges, and the opportunity to influence both processes and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and follow up on projects from start to finish
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and specifications
  • Contribute to tender processes and cost estimation, including presenting and requesting approval of costs to INEOS management
  • Perform quality assurance, risk assessments, and documentation
  • Maintain contact and collaboration with customers, suppliers, and partners
  • Support continuous improvement of methods, work processes, and technical solutions
Qualifications
  • Engineering degree within a relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management; newly graduated candidates are also encouraged to apply
  • Education in mechanical engineering; experience from the construction industry is an advantage
  • Strong skills in relevant IT tools (e.g., Autodesk software such as Inventor, BIM tools, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of technical drawings and project methodology
