Job summary

Dovre Solutions AS is seeking personnel to support loop testing during mechanical completion and commissioning on a major offshore project based in Stord with 15/20 rotation.

You will work under the task owner to plan, prepare and carry out instrument, electrical and telecom loops from field devices to the control system, ensuring readiness for handover and start-up.

The assignment runs 11.10.2026 to 31.03.2027, with potential extension for offshore commissioning; 26 positions available.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade certificate in electrical, automation or telecom.
• Valid electrical safety (FSE) course with first aid.
• Basic ATEX and ATEX maintenance courses.

Responsibilities

• Support the task owner in planning, preparing and carrying out loop testing.
• Assist during loop testing across instrument, electrical and telecom loops from field device to control system.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and ensuring readiness for handover and start-up.
• Adapt to possible offshore extension and rotation requirements.

Function

• Purpose of the position Support the task owner in planning, preparing and carrying out loop testing.

General description of the role

• The role helps the task owner plan, prepare and carry out loop testing during the project’s mechanical completion and commissioning phase. Loop testing covers instrument, electrical and telecom loops from field device to control system, so systems are verified and ready for handover and start-up.
• The role is a key part of a successful project delivery and promotes sharing of knowledge and information.
• The assignment ends 31.03.2027, and it may be extended for offshore commissioning work.

Requirements

• Relevant trade certificate (electrical, automation or telecom)
• Valid electrical safety (FSE) course with first aid
• Basic ATEX and ATEX maintenance courses
• Commissioning experience from similar projects
• Familiar with PIMS
• Good Norwegian and/or English, spoken and written

• Flexible about rotation and available for a possible offshore extension
