Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Loop Test Engineer to support commissioning activities on major projects in Norway. You will be instrumental in planning, executing, and verifying instrument loop checks, ensuring all activities are performed safely and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and engineer loop test activities in alignment with the project commissioning strategy.
• Collaborate with commissioning and construction teams to schedule and coordinate loop test execution.
• Provide input and guidance on loop test strategy and planning.
• Be present on-site to support and follow up on loop test activities at yards and offshore as needed.
• Support the Loop Test Lead in managing loop test operations and resolving issues.
• Ensure loop testing is carried out in line with project milestones and commissioning sequences.
• Oversee ATS (Acceptance Test Sheet) planning and execution for various instruments.
• Ensure proper preparation for daily work including permits, tools, documentation, and personnel readiness.
• Maintain an up-to-date loop test availability matrix.
• Verify that all loop tests are conducted according to project specifications and standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience in loop testing, instrumentation, and commissioning on large-scale offshore or energy projects.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation systems, commissioning workflows, and project handover processes.
• Familiar with Norwegian regulatory needs and HSE standards.
• Effective communication and coordination skills in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Availability for on-site presence during loop test execution at Norwegian yards.
