Job summary

Squarehead Technology, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to own production test software, stations, fixtures, and measurement equipment. You will ensure tests are reliable, repeatable, and scalable across production sites, while collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality, and partners.

The role offers hands-on hardware and software work and a chance to impact product quality as production scales. Oslo or nearby locations preferred.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering Physics, or related field.
• Experience in production testing, test or manufacturing engineering.
• Solid understanding of electronics and embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience with measurement equipment, test stations, and fixtures.
• Experience with Linux and scripting or programming for test automation, for example Python.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work both independently and with technical teams and manufacturing partners.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of production test software, test stations, fixtures, instruments, and related tools.
• Implement, qualify, maintain, and improve test solutions to ensure reliable and repeatable production testing.
• Transfer tests, tools, and processes to manufacturing partners, ensuring consistent test methods across sites.
• Contribute to new product introduction with input on testability, manufacturability, test time, and traceability.
• Troubleshoot production and test issues together with Engineering, Quality, IT, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Use test data and production experience to improve yield, product quality, and production efficiency.
• Write work instructions, test manuals, and troubleshooting guides, and train operators and partners when test solutions are introduced or changed.
