ORLEN Upstream Norway AS (OUN) is an oil and gas company that is growing and we are searching for a Principal/Senior Development & Production Geophysicist.
The successful candidate will report to a Subsurface Manager and work across the full OUN portfolio. The Subsurface department is responsible for 25 producing and 7 developing assets across 7 OUN core areas: Goliat, Skarv, Ormen Lange, Duva/Kvitebjørn, Yggdrasil, Sleipner and Tommeliten.
Over the next 12 months the Subsurface Department will be responsible for following the drilling of up to 35 production wells, taking 13 developments through internal project decision gates, including 6 for FID, as well as performing 3D/4D interpretation and updates to several geo- and simulation models.
The role will be responsible for interpreting geophysical and other relevant data to optimise recoverable hydrocarbon potential in OUN’s development and production assets, while supporting investment decisions through high-quality geophysical analysis. The successful candidate will conduct geophysical evaluation of existing assets and M&A opportunities in a multidisciplinary environment, support production and inn-fill drilling activities, review operators’ work, represent and convey OUN's position in licence committees, and progress projects through decision gates to deliver production growth targets across the portfolio.
