Job summary

Nordic Semiconductor is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale the nRF Cloud platform. You will work across infra, databases, and security to enable hardware teams to monitor, debug, and update IoT devices in production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Ability to ship production code end-to-end and own features.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EKS, RDS, S3, EC2, ECS).
• Strong backend programming skills in Python, Kotlin, and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with Kubernetes, deploying and scaling production workloads.
• Proficiency with observability/monitoring tools and improving system reliability.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Nice to have experience in IoT or device telemetry pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own pieces of the platform end-to-end and ship production-quality code.
• Design, build, and monitor systems handling data from millions of IoT devices.
• Collaborate with Product, SDK & Field Engineering, and Support to translate needs into technical work.
• Champion observability with metrics, logs, and alerts; lead postmortems and follow-ups.
