Job summary

TOMRA Feedstock in Norway is seeking a Plant Accountant and Controller to establish and perform general ledger accounting for one of our plants. The role is located at our Norwegian plant Områ, 2-3 days per week on-site with the rest possible remote; travel 3-4 times per year.

You will ensure IFRS compliance, prepare monthly and annual statements, and act as ERP Key User for finance applications, driving continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a fully qualified accountant.
• Strong knowledge of cost and asset accounting, product costing, and operations controlling.
• Excellent communication skills to present financial information to senior management.
• Experience with ERP systems; IFS preferred.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English.

Responsibilities

• Handle complete general ledger accounting.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and IFRS.
• Cooperate with external auditors and serve as contact person for tax authorities; VAT declarations.
• Handle bank transactions and reconciliations as well as cash flow forecasts.
• Act as ERP Key User for finance applications; participate in system improvements.
• Create and generate monthly reports and variance analyses with optimization recommendations.
• Support in regular budgeting process.
• Work on special projects focused on continuous process improvements.
