Job summary

TOMRA Feedstock GmbH is seeking a Plant Accountant and Controller to establish and perform general ledger accounting for one of our production plants in Norway. The role combines hands-on accounting with ERP leadership and process improvements, with a mix of on-site and remote work 2-3 days per week.

You will prepare monthly and annual financial statements, ensure IFRS compliance, cooperate with external auditors, and support budgeting and cost analyses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a fully qualified accountant in a production environment.
• Degree in Accounting, Controlling or Finance.
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and perform general ledger accounting.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Act as ERP Key User for finance applications and system improvements.
• Ensure IFRS and local accounting standards compliance; cooperate with auditors.
• Support budgeting and variance analysis; create periodic reports.
• Travel readiness and ability to work partly remote.

Job Description

We are looking for a Plant Accountant and Controller(m/f/d) within TOMRA Feedstock who will establish and perform general ledger accounting for one of our plants.

The position is located at our Norwegian plantOmrå(2-3 days / week) with the possibility to work remotely the rest of the time. Readiness to travel 3-4 times a year is required.

• Handle complete general ledger accounting
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and accounting standards as well as group accounting standards (IFRS)
• Cooperate with external auditors and serve as contact person for tax authorities; preparation of VAT-declaration
• Handle bank transactions and reconciliations as well as preparation of cash flow forecasts and dunning process
• Act as ERP Key User for finance applications; participate in the implementation of the system; proactively produce input for continuous improvement of the system
• Create and generate monthly reports and variance analysis of actual performance and provide recommendations for optimization measures
• Support in regular budgeting process
• Work on special projects with focus on continuous process improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a fully qualified accountant in a production environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of cost and asset accounting, product costing, operations controlling
• Experienced user of ERP-systems, ideally IFS
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English

Educational background

• University Degree in Accounting/Controlling or Finance

Other skills / abilities

• Excellent communications skills and the ability to comfortably communicate financial information to senior levels in the organization
• Understanding of recycling processes would be nice to bring
