University of Agder invites applications for a PhD Research Fellow in Design and Analysis of Floating Solar Arrays. The fixed-term 3-year position is based in Grimstad, with affiliation to Civil Engineering and Marine technology research groups.

The work includes multibody floating solar system design, hydrodynamic modelling, and techno-economic analysis. The successful candidate will develop analytical and numerical methods, publish in high-quality journals, and contribute to EU HelioSea

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree approved by deadline.
• English language evidence required (TOEFL/IELTS) or NOKUT exemption.
• Research experience and publications preferred.
• Strong analytical and programming skills.
• Experience with offshore structures is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Conduct research on design and analysis of multibody floating solar systems under offshore conditions.
• Perform analytical modelling and numerical hydrodynamics analyses.
