Job summary

University of Agder, Campus Grimstad, invites applications for a fixed-term Researcher in Structural Engineering to advance offshore solar farm mooring design within the HelioSea FPV project. You will contribute to modelling, testing, and analyses, collaborating with international partners, and disseminating results through reports and publications.

The appointment is remunerated according to the Norwegian State Salary Scale (NOK 680,000–730,000 gross per year) with pension contributions.

Qualifications

• PhD in marine technology, civil engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Numerical modelling of shared mooring configurations.
• Wave-basin testing of FPV farms.
• Analysis of FPV farms co-located with floating breakwaters.
• Assessment of farm-level energy production and power performance.
• Support for experimental testing and pilot activities.
