Job summary

The University of Agder, Faculty of Engineering and Science, invites applications for a fixed-term 2-year Researcher position in Structural Engineering at Campus Grimstad, starting Spring 2027. The project focuses on offshore solar farms within the HelioSea CETPartnership, involving international partners and industrial collaborators.

Qualifications

• PhD must be approved by the application deadline.
• Expertise in at least one: fluid dynamics; design of marine structures; offshore multibody structures; multiphysics simulation; experimental analysis of marine structures.

Responsibilities

• Numerical modelling of shared mooring configurations.
• Wave-basin testing of FPV farms.
• Analysis of FPV farms co-located with floating breakwaters.
• Assessment of farm-level energy production and performance.
