Job summary

Helse Sør-øst RHF in Oslo invites applications for a 3-year PhD fellowship at the Intervention Centre of Oslo University Hospital. The project sits within the Cardiovascular Digital Twin network and is funded by the European Research Council’s MSCA program, offering an interdisciplinary environment at the interface of engineering, mathematics and medicine.

We seek a motivated candidate with a Master’s degree in engineering or related field, strong academic record, proficiency in English, and

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field with strong academic record.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary research at engineering, mathematics, and medicine.
  • Experience with CFD/FSI and scientific programming is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the 3-year PhD project at the Intervention Centre, Oslo University Hospital.
  • Collaborate within the Cardiovascular Digital Twin network across Europe.
  • Engage in computational modelling, data analysis, and validation studies.
