Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Cybernetics, Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Physics, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology or related field.
  • Strong academic record with weighted average grade of B or higher.
  • Experience with scientific programming (Python, MATLAB) is advantageous.
  • Interest in cardiovascular physiology, echocardiography, medical technology, or computational medicine is desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mathematical models linking echocardiographic data to physiological and mechanical heart properties.
  • Integrate imaging information with computational models to estimate clinically important parameters.
  • Collect and analyze animal and clinical datasets for model development and validation.
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team at the Intervention Centre and UiO.
