Job summary

Oslo University Hospital invites applications for a fully funded, three-year PhD Research Fellowship within SYNAPSE, a project funded by the Research Council of Norway.

We seek a candidate with a solid background in computer networking and an interest in developing machine-learning methods for network control and network-aware distributed learning. The fellow will join the Wireless Sensor Network Research Group at the Intervention Centre, Oslo University Hospital.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in computer networking demonstrated through coursework and research.
• Coursework or project experience in machine learning.
• Experience with reinforcement learning or graph neural networks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate methods through network simulation or emulation and real monitoring data.
• Publish research results and complete a PhD at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Medicine.
• Join the Wireless Sensor Network Research Group at the Intervention Centre.
