Job summary

Vets for Pets Bishop Auckland is offering a 6-month fixed term Veterinary Care Assistant/Receptionist role. The job involves joining a bright, well-equipped practice and handling reception duties on a rota basis, with opportunities to support the nursing team during leave.

You will be the friendly face for clients and their pets, delivering excellent customer service and helping with non-clinical tasks to keep the practice running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Qualified VCA with interest in developing skills in a veterinary reception role.
• Experience in a VCA role is desirable but not essential if you have the right attitude and drive.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, welcoming manner are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical support to the practice and help ensure smooth daily operations.
• Cover reception shifts on a rota and assist nursing staff during annual leave and holiday cover.
• Deliver outstanding patient care through friendly interaction with clients and their pets.
