Job summary

Lee County Data Processing is seeking diligent cleaners to maintain county-owned facilities. You will perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, replenishing supplies, and trash removal to keep spaces safe and presentable.

Work may be physically demanding, including moving furniture and outdoor duties in extreme heat or cold. A valid driver’s license in NC is required, and pre-employment drug testing is mandatory; EEO policies apply.

Qualifications

• Any combination of experience and training which provides knowledge of cleaning procedures and materials, the ability to follow instructions and the ability to perform light to medium physical work.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, clean restroom areas and replenish supplies.
• Clean windows, walls, woodwork, light fixtures and furniture; empty trash receptacles and keep them clean.
• Responsible for building security and lock-up, and may move furniture as needed.

Employees will perform a variety of duties in the cleaning of all County-owned facilities. Essential functions include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restroom areas and replenishing supplies, cleaning up spills (including bodily fluids), cleaning windows, walls, woodwork, light fixtures and furniture, and emptying trash receptacles and keeping them clean. Duties may also include physically strenuous activities such as moving furniture. Working outside in extreme heat and cold conditions. Responsible for building security and lock-up.
