Job summary

WaveWorks in Svalbard is seeking a Part-Time Land Surveyor to join our growing team. You will conduct surveys to determine property boundaries, collect data for mapping, and support construction projects in a remote Arctic environment.

The role offers a flexible schedule, independent work, and opportunities for professional development while living in a stunning Arctic setting. Candidates with a Geomatics background or related experience are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or related field preferred but not required.
• Experience in land surveying or related field is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of surveying techniques, methods and equipment.
• Proficient in using surveying software such as AutoCAD or GIS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys using GPS, total stations and levels.
• Record accurate measurements and collect data on boundaries, topography and features.
• Interpret survey data to create maps, drawings and reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and construction teams on projects.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety standards.
• Maintain survey equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Land Surveyor to join our team in Svalbard This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in land surveying while maintaining a flexible schedule As a Part-Time Land Surveyor you will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine property boundaries and collecting data for mapping and construction projects

• Interpret survey data to create maps drawings and reports

Requirements
