Job description

We are in need of a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in Svalbard. As a Land Surveyor you will be responsible for conducting land surveys and providing accurate measurements and data for various construction and development projects. This is a contract position with visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys and collect data using various equipment such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.
• Analyze survey data and create detailed maps, drawings, and reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accurate survey results are obtained.
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on site.
• Manage survey equipment inventory and maintenance.
• Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies in land surveying.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field.
• Previous experience in land surveying is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in using survey equipment such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.
• Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for effectively collaborating with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

Salary: The salary for this position is $1400 per month.
