Job summary

MDE Stavanger is seeking a seasoned OT/Cyber Security engineer to design secure offshore network infrastructure for a brownfield project. You will ensure compliance with customer specs and manage intrusion detection, firewalls, and network segmentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years in OT security and network design.
• Experience with IC, SCADA, Modbus, Profibus, IEC61850, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and OPC UA.
• Knowledge of Purdue Model, NIST CSF, IEC62443 and Equinor TR 1658.
• Offshore certificate eligibility (EX course, FSE etc.).
• Permanent or project-based employment with competitive terms.
• Structured onboarding and visa/mobilization support.

Responsibilities

• Define network infra design and protect OT systems from cyber threats.
• Participate in FAT testing and verify configurations of switches/routers/firewalls.
• Support suppliers with Self-Assessment Templates.
• Risk assessment of supplier packages per IEC62443.
• Interface with other disciplines, suppliers, contractors, and client.
• Lead RVA workshops for OT systems to identify security weaknesses.
• Ensure large-scale network infra meets Network and Cyber Security specs.
