Radisson Hotel Group is seeking an Area Chief Engineer to lead engineering strategy across Oslo hotels. You will manage engineering operations, CapEx projects and asset performance while guiding hotel teams to deliver operational excellence.

The role blends hands-on leadership with project management, budgeting and collaboration with owners, contractors and leaders to uphold safety and building standards across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or similar qualification in mechanical, electrical, building services or technical installations.
• Extensive experience leading engineering/maintenance or technical operations across multiple sites.
• Experience managing large technical projects, renovations and CapEx investments.
• Strong understanding of property maintenance and building systems.
• Excellent budgeting and commercial awareness, including investment planning.
• Proven leadership to coach, influence and develop teams.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with hotel leaders, owners, contractors and suppliers.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support Chief Engineers across Oslo area hotels to ensure consistency and best practice.
• Oversee engineering operations, maintenance and safety standards to the highest level.
• Plan and manage major refurbishment, renovations, and technical installations from budgeting to execution.
• Manage CapEx projects, long‑term investments, and engineering budgets for cost‑effective delivery.
• Support hotel engineering teams with procurement, project planning and technical administration.
• Act as liaison between Radisson Hotel Group, owners, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure preventive maintenance programmes are planned, monitored and improved.
• Coordinate engineering strategies to maximise asset performance and reduce downtime.
• Oversee sustainability initiatives including energy-saving projects and building systems optimisation.
• Collaborate with security teams to coordinate fire safety and safety procedures across properties.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, health & safety, fire regulations and company standards.
• Build relationships with General Managers and hotel leadership to provide technical guidance.
