• Preferred: experience in ophthalmology and willingness to pursue COA certification.

Aufgaben

• Obtains a medical history to aid ophthalmologist's assessment.
• Performs essential diagnostic tests and screening procedures in ophthalmology.
• Administers topical ophthalmic medications and instructs patients on testing procedures.
• Educates patients on ophthalmic conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintains equipment safety, inventory, and reports malfunctions.
• May assist with laser and ophthalmic procedures in minor procedure room.
• May act as a scribe or assist with training of staff.
