Tampnet A/S is hiring two part-time employees for our Operations Centre at Hinna Park in Stavanger. The NOC operates 24/7 on a rotating schedule with day, evening, and night shifts, serving offshore industry and coordinating with Subsea, Technology and Architecture, Solutions Implementation, Deployments and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in, or having completed at least one year of, a relevant university program (e.g., computer science, telecom or electrical engineering), or equivalent relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of IP networking and telecom infrastructure concepts.
• Ability to work part-time / flexible shifts.
• Candidates must be Security Cleared (or eligible for Security clearance) under Norwegian law.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer calls, incidents, alarms, and service requests, escalating complex or higher-level issues.
• Monitor the network for incidents and events, ensuring first-line response.
• Perform daily/nightly NOC checklists, routines, and archive reports.
• Support follow-the-sun coordination with other GNOC teams.
• Coordinate and execute planned network changes.
• Assist with SLA uptime calculations and reporting.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and checklists.

Tampnet is hiring two part-time employees for our Operations Centre at Hinna Park in Stavanger!

The Network Operations Centre (NOC) primarily serves the offshore industry and operates 24/7 on a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, and night shifts. The NOC is the hub of activity at Tampnet and you will work in a team that serves as the central point of contact for several departments including Subsea, Technology and Architecture, Solutions Implementation and Deployments and Engineering.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Handle customer calls, incidents, alarms, and service requests, escalating complex or higher-level (L2+) issues to the Operations Engineer or shift lead according to the Tampnet escalation matrix.


• Monitor the network for incidents and events, ensuring timely first-line (L1) response.


• Perform daily / nightly NOC checklists, operational routines, and archive reports.


• Support follow-the-sun coordination with other GNOC teams.


• Support coordination and execution of planned network changes.


• Assist with SLA uptime calculations and reporting.


• Perform basic administration of users and access.


• Ensure adherence to ITIL-aligned practices and continuous service improvement.


• Carry out first-line analysis of events / incidents and basic problem solving.


• Maintain and follow operational documentation, runbooks, and checklists.


• Ensure clear and timely communication with customers and internal stakeholders on first-line matters.


• Support internal reporting on ticket volumes and incident trends, as requested.


• Contribute to a positive work environment in the team / department.


• Participate in projects and service delivery as necessary.


• Perform other technical tasks within his/her area of expertise.

Desired qualifications:

• Enrolled in, or having completed at least one year of, a relevant university program (e.g., computer science, telecom or electrical engineering), or equivalent relevant experience.


• Basic understanding of IP networking and telecom infrastructure concepts.


• Ability to work part-time / flexible shifts.

Language:

You must be fluent in Norwegian and have strong oral and written skills in English.
