Job summary

Amar Seafood AS is seeking Operations Technicians for our juvenile halibut facility in Tømmervåg, Tustna. You will be integral to the start-up and ongoing operation, working across daily care, equipment maintenance, and process documentation.

Ideal candidates bring a hands-on approach, possible hatchery experience, and a background in aquaculture or marine farming, with strong teamwork and reliability. Norwegian language required; English helpful.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, practical approach.
• Experience from hatchery or juvenile fish production (preferred).
• Education in aquaculture or marine farming, or relevant experience.
• Proactive, motivated, structured and reliable.
• Solid computer skills with relevant digital tools.
• Fluent in Norwegian; some English skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow production, keep records, document, and report.
• Participate in shift and on-call rotations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, regulations and applicable legislation.

Amar Seafood AS is looking for Operations Technicians for our juvenile halibut facility in Tømmervåg, Tustna

About the position

Amar Seafood is starting production of Atlantic halibut at our facility in Tømmervåg, Tustna, and we are therefore looking for Operations Technicians to join our team. Together with the rest of the organization, you will play a key role in the start-up phase of the facility, as well as in the further operation and development of the production.

Responsibilities

• Daily care, monitoring, and husbandry of fish
• Operation and maintenance of the facility and production equipment
• Follow-up of production, record keeping, documentation, and reporting
• Participation in shift and on-call rotations
• Ensuring compliance with HSE procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation
• Identifying and contributing actively to improvement initiatives
• Collaborating closely with the wider Amar Seafood organization

We are looking for someone who

• Has a practical and hands-on approach
• Preferably has experience from hatchery or juvenile fish production
• Preferably has education within aquaculture or marine farming, or other relevant experience
• Is proactive and motivated
• Is structured and reliable
• Has good execution skills and the ability to see practical solutions
• Has solid computer skills and experience with relevant digital tools
• Is fluent in Norwegian and preferably has some English skills
• Enjoys planning, motivating others, and contributing to a strong team environment
• Thrives in an operational role while also handling administrative tasks efficiently
