Job summary

Eximple is hiring an Operations Manager - Freight Pricing to lead competitive and accurate freight pricing for clients. You will leverage your network with shipping lines and international agents to source the best rates, build structured pricing frameworks, and ensure we stay commercially sharp across all trade corridors.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in freight pricing, forwarding operations, or shipping line sales
  • Established network with shipping lines, international freight agents, CHAs & local logistics
  • Strong understanding of ocean freight products (FCL, LCL), surcharges, and trade lane dynamics
  • Proficiency in managing rate negotiations and building structured pricing tools
  • Good communication and relationship management skills

Responsibilities

  • Source and negotiate freight rates (FCL/LCL) from shipping lines, NVOCCs, and international freight agents across key trade lanes
  • Prepare and manage freight quotations for client inquiries - ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and turnaround within committed timelines
  • Build and maintain a live rate matrix across carriers, ports, and trade corridors for quick internal reference
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with shipping line representatives and overseas agents to secure preferential pricing and space commitments
  • Track surcharge trends (BAF, EBS, PSS, etc.) and proactively update pricing to reflect market changes
  • Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to ensure pricing supports business conversion & margin targets
  • Evaluate carrier performance, reliability, and routing options to provide well-rounded recommendations to clients.

About The Role

We are looking for an Operations Manager - Freight Pricing to drive competitive and accurate freight pricing for our clients. You will leverage your network with shipping lines and international agents to source the best rates, build structured pricing frameworks, and ensure we remain commercially sharp across all trade corridors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and negotiate freight rates (FCL/LCL) from shipping lines, NVOCCs, and international freight agents across key trade lanes (Africa, Middle East, Far East, Europe, Americas & South-east Asia)
  • Prepare and manage freight quotations for client inquiries - ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and turnaround within committed timelines
  • Build and maintain a live rate matrix across carriers, ports, and trade corridors for quick internal reference
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with shipping line representatives and overseas agents to secure preferential pricing and space commitments
  • Track surcharge trends (BAF, EBS, PSS, etc.) and proactively update pricing to reflect market changes

What We’re Looking For
