Job summary

Motive Offshore Group is seeking a Service Technician to commission and operate equipment both offshore and onshore from Stavanger. You will perform testing, inspection and certification scopes, ensuring adherence to HSEQ guidelines and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Time-served in a mechanical or engineering role (preferred).
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic experience with knowledge of hydraulic components.
• Experience with offshore equipment and electrical installation and fault-finding.
• Familiarity with subsea testing, electrical/optical/hydraulic systems.
• Offshore survival certification (BOSIET/FOET or Norwegian equivalent) preferred.
• Valid driving licence is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings/isometries.
• Experience with fibre optic systems is beneficial.
• NDT certification is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Commission and operate equipment offshore/onshore in a competent, safe manner.
• Perform testing, inspection and certification scopes as required.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ guidelines and client specifications.
• Attend project briefings, inductions, and FATs when required.
• Complete onsite paperwork including post-installation checks and maintenance records.
• Conduct maintenance, inspections and repairs on rental fleet equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and liaise with teams to resolve faults.
