Job summary

CHC Helicopter in Sola, Norway is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join the Finance team for end-to-end Norwegian payroll delivery. You will report to the Senior Financial Controller, EMEA, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.

This 12-month fixed-term role involves collaboration with HR, external providers, and government authorities, with a focus on governance, GDPR, and process improvements in a dynamic international aviation environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of Norwegian payroll legislation, taxation, pensions, sick pay, and reporting requirements
• Experience managing end-to-end payroll processes and reconciliations
• Experience with Unit4 or similar payroll/ERP systems; Altinn reporting desirable
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and validate monthly Norwegian payroll for accuracy and compliance
• Manage statutory payroll reporting and submissions through Altinn and relevant authorities
• Ensure compliance with Norwegian payroll legislation and collective agreements where applicable
• Perform monthly payroll-to-general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare payroll journals and support month-end and year-end close activities
• Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts and deductions
• Maintain payroll master data and confidentiality in line with GDPR requirements
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and reconciliations
