Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Norwegian language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Norwegian content. Your linguistic insight will shape how AI understands, generates, and communicates in Norwegian for millions of users.

This is a fully remote, hourly contract. No prior AI experience required beyond fluent Norwegian and a sharp eye for quality. Work 10–40 hours per week on your own schedule.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Norwegian (Bokmål and/or Nynorsk) with near-native proficiency.
• Excellent written Norwegian communication skills.
• Solid command of contemporary Norwegian usage across contexts.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated Norwegian translations for accuracy and naturalness.
• Identify mistranslations, awkward phrasing, register mismatches or cultural issues.
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic Norwegian.

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated Norwegian translations and original content for accuracy and naturalness
• Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, register mismatches, or cultural issues
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate Norwegian
• Provide structured, detailed feedback on linguistic and cultural quality
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Native or near-native fluency in Norwegian (Bokmål and/or Nynorsk)
• Strong written communication skills in Norwegian
• Solid command of contemporary Norwegian usage across different contexts and registers
• Comfortable evaluating written language quality at scale
• Naturally detail-oriented with a consistent, methodical approach
• No prior AI or tech experience

Nice to Have

• Experience in translation, localization, editing, or linguistics
• Familiarity with AI or language evaluation workflows
• Knowledge of regional Norwegian language variations and dialects
• Background in writing, journalism, or communications
