Job summary

Ascensia Diabetes Care Norway AS is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant Nordics to lead financial reporting, statutory accounting, and audit coordination across Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The role requires IFRS and local GAAP expertise and close collaboration with auditors and service providers.

The position is hybrid in Lysaker, Norway, with 2 days in the office on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Fluency in English and Norwegian is essential, and Netsuite experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Lead financial reporting, statutory accounting, and audit coordination for Nordic entities (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland).
• Strong IFRS and local GAAP knowledge.
• Knowledge of corporate tax, VAT, and regulatory compliance.
• Fluent in English and Norwegian.
• Experience with Netsuite is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting activities for the Nordic legal entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Lead statutory accounting, external audits, and regulatory filings with timely submissions.
• Manage month-end close, including journals, accruals, provisions, and intercompany transactions.
• Oversee tax compliance and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with shared service teams for GL, AP/AR, and fixed assets.
