Qualifications

Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Alta, Norway. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be proficient in financial software and systems. They will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Manage the day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and audits
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts to ensure adequate funding for company operations
• Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures
• Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement in financial processes and procedures
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and assist with tax planning strategies
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure accurate record keeping and efficient processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred)
• CPA or equivalent certification required
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or related field

Salary: 1200$ per month + benefits
