Job summary

Nexans is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for the design through installation of submarine power cable systems for renewable energy projects. You will follow the Nexans Project Execution Modell and drive engineering excellence across the project scope.

The role is based primarily in Halden or Oslo with the possibility to work partially from home. You will report to the department manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver turnkey cable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in engineering management
• Fluent in Norwegian and English

The Engineering Management team consists of highly competent and diverse members. We are responsible for executing engineering in our projects and engineering activities related to all our cable systems. The workplace is primarily Halden or Oslo with the possibility to work partially from home office. You will be reporting to department manager Jan Roger Andersen.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

You will work as an Engineering Manager with an team of engineers reporting to you that performs and follows up all engineering activities related to the scope of work in the project. From design to purchasing, manufacturing, throughout testing, delivery and installation. You will discuss technical challenges and identify solutions. You will follow the Nexans' Project Execution Modell during the Engineering process. You may also participate in developing efficiencies and take part in improvements relevant to our department. You boost your impact by actively promoting Quality and HSE.

YOUR STARTING POINT WHEN YOU JOIN

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
• 3-5 years' experience in engineering management
