Job summary

Global Green Growth Institute seeks an experienced consultant to support the development, refinement and finalization of Mitigation Activity Idea Notes (MAINs) for potential progression to matchmaking with Carbon Funds. You will strengthen technical quality and supporting evidence under the Article 6 Readiness Facility.

The assignment includes coordinating with GGGI country teams, collecting documentation, and preparing MAINs for internal QC and final approval.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in climate change mitigation, carbon markets or mitigation project development.
• Experience preparing or refining MAINs, MADDs, PDDs or comparable technical documents.
• Strong technical expertise in carbon accounting, including baseline development and monitoring.
• Excellent English writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop MAINs with proponents and refine content for internal QC.
• Coordinate with country teams on policy context and Article 6 arrangements.
• Identify gaps and collect technical, legal and financial documentation.
• Prepare concise MAIN summaries for final approval.
