Job summary

Civic, an award-winning Building Services MEP practice in the UK, seeks an Intermediate/Design Engineer to deliver electrical design across residential, education, commercial, leisure and regeneration projects. You will work with engineers and design teams to produce coordinated, sustainable designs and robust models.

You will be proactive, organised, and keen to advance electrical engineering capability within a collaborative environment, contributing to high-profile private and public-sector

Qualifications

  • Experience in Building Services MEP design.
  • Ability to produce detailed electrical designs and drawings.
  • Familiar with IEEE/NEC/IEC and local codes.
  • Experience with feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Collaborative with architects and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering discipline design, analysis, calculation and drawing input.
  • Undertake design and analysis for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communications systems.
  • Identify problems and opportunities; assess and resolve using qualitative/quantitative methods.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems.
  • Produce high-quality written reports on projects.
  • Prepare, present and self-check technical data, drawings and tenders.
