Job summary

Boeing Brazil is seeking a Mid-Career Avionics Engineer to join the global Avionics team, working on development and certification of transport category airplanes. You will translate requirements into system hardware and software designs and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Hybrid/telecommuting work arrangement with potential relocation; candidates must have engineering degree and CREA registration or eligibility, and strong English communication skills are required.

  • Research technology advances for potential applications.

Location & Reporting

Boeing Brazil is seeking a Mid-Career Avionics Engineer reporting to the Avionics Manager working out of the São José dos Campos office.

Job Description

The Mid-Career Avionics Engineer will join the global Avionics engineering team to support the development and certification of transport category airplanes. Participation on development of complex electronic systems analyzing and translating requirements into system demonstrating compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements.

Position Responsibilities
  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system hardware and software designs and interface specifications
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Work Arrangement

This position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
  • Must have a degree in Engineering
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA)
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)
  • Experience with Product Development life cycle and applicable regulations
  • Experience with Safety Assessment standards
  • Experience on supplier environmental qualification standards
  • Experience with Software development life cycle and certification process
  • Experience with Agile methodology

-This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
