About The Role

As Mechanical Package Manager, you will be responsible for all mechanical systems within the project. The role includes coordinating subcontractors, managing interfaces, monitoring progress, resolving technical challenges and ensuring the successful delivery of the project.

You will act as the main point of contact for all mechanical activities and ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements and applicable regulations. You will also contribute to the efficient commissioning and successful handover of all mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Package Delivery
  • Lead and follow up all mechanical activities throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors and teams involved in mechanical installations.
  • Monitor performance, productivity and quality standards across the mechanical package.
  • Contribute to a collaborative working environment with a strong focus on safety.
Quality and Compliance
  • Carry out inspections and quality checks to ensure installations comply with project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, building requirements and industry best practices.
  • Identify and address quality issues before they impact project progress.
Technical Leadership
  • Resolve mechanical and technical challenges during the construction and commissioning phases.
  • Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings and modifications.
  • Provide technical expertise and practical solutions to the project teams.
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
  • Ensure that all mechanical activities are carried out safely.
  • Stop work where safety concerns arise and ensure that the necessary corrective actions are implemented.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HSE performance within your area of responsibility.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing and delivering mechanical packages, preferably from large-scale and complex construction projects. Experience from projects within critical infrastructure, industrial environments, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals or data centres will be a significant advantage.

You have relevant technical education from a university, college or technical vocational college within Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Energy, Mechanical disciplines or a related field. However, we place significant emphasis on practical experience and proven results, and candidates with extensive relevant project and management experience will also be considered even if their educational background differs.

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical understanding with solid leadership capabilities, commercial awareness and the ability to drive projects forward in a structured and solution-oriented manner.

Technical Competence
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and ventilation systems, piping systems and other mechanical systems used in data centre projects
  • Good understanding of construction methods, HSE requirements and relevant regulations.
  • Experience with software used for project management, design and construction management.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

  • Strong leadership and coordination skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across disciplines.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
Why consider this opportunity?
  • A permanent position and the opportunity to work on a major data centre project in Norway.
  • The opportunity to join a growing international organisation with ambitious expansion plans.
  • Collaboration with experienced project managers and engineers.
  • Exposure to technically challenging projects within critical infrastructure.
  • Excellent opportunities for career development in a dynamic and supportive working environment.
  • Attractive working arrangements, including weekly commuting with shortened Fridays, 10/4 (day) or 3/1 (week) rotations, plus free accommodation, lunch, and a car arrangement.
