Omega 365 Consulting is seeking a Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) to act as the technical lead for equipment packages in large offshore projects in Norway. You will manage design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and delivery to meet project requirements and client expectations, coordinating with engineers, suppliers, and clients.

This role requires 7–12 years of offshore experience, strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment, and a track record in multidisciplinary project

Qualifications

• Masters or bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.
• 7–12 years offshore related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, chemical injection skids).
• Strong understanding of static equipment design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of applicable industry standards, regulations and engineering best practices.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary project environments with engineers, suppliers, contractors and clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships across disciplines.
• Team-oriented mindset with cooperation and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform bid clarification meeting (BCM) and kickoff meeting when needed.
• Create and follow up package distribution matrix for supplier documentation with the package buyer and MC engineer.
• Take responsibility for follow-up work for the procurement package.
• Follow up to ensure Final Documentation for the scope is delivered on time.
• Ensure work is performed according to instructions/procedures and contract.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality deliverables.

Assignment Description

Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) is the technical lead for specific equipment packages in large projects.
They ensure that design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of equipment (like compressors, pumps, turbines, pressure vessels, or cranes) meet project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations

Prepare and perform bid clarification meeting (BCM) and kick off meeting if necessary.

Create package follow up together with package buyer and MC engineer.

Create and follow up package distribution matrix for supplier documentation and send the matrix to Document Control.

Take responsibility forfollow-up work for the procurement package.

Follow up and make sure Final Documentation for the scope of work is delivered at agreed date.

Responsible for ensuring that the work is performed according to relevant instructions / procedures and in accordance with the contract.

Qualifications

Masters or bachelor degree in mechanical engineering

Long experience, 7 to 12 years, within offshore related projects

Extensive knowledge of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, chemical injection skids, and other multidisciplinary packaged systems.

Strong understanding of static equipment, including design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Good knowledge of applicable industry standards, regulations, and engineering best practices.

Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project environments and collaborate with engineers, suppliers, contractors, and clients.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across disciplines and organizational levels.

Ability to contribute proactively to technical discussions, problem-solving activities, and project execution to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality deliverables.

Team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on cooperation, knowledge sharing, and achieving common project goals.
