Job summary

AutoStore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive the next generation of Grid and Bin products. You will work hands-on in mechanical design, CAD modeling, materials selection, testing, and validation to ensure robustness for high‑volume production.

You will contribute across the full product lifecycle from concept through prototypes to mass production, collaborating with manufacturing and global teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in mechanical product development including design, prototyping, testing and iterations.
• Strong understanding of materials and how they influence design and manufacturing.
• Experience with 3D CAD and mechanical design, including drawings and specs.
• Practical prototyping experience and test setup skills.
• Experience with plastics or metal manufacturing is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support development of next-generation Bins and Grid products and improve existing solutions.
• Create and modify 3D models and drawings, and participate in design reviews.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate product and system testing to validate requirements.
• Work with materials, specs, and manufacturing needs to ensure high-volume production performance.
• Contribute across full product lifecycle from concepts to mass production.
