Job summary

AutoStore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop the Grid and Bins, handling the next generation of products and continuous improvements for market-ready solutions. This hands-on role spans design, CAD, testing, materials, and manufacturing considerations to ensure robust, scalable products.

You will contribute across the full lifecycle from concept to mass production, supporting sustained engineering and high-volume production readiness in a global context.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical product development experience across design, prototyping, testing and validation.
• Strong materials knowledge and impact on design and manufacturing.
• 3D CAD with drawings, specs, tolerances; experience with Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience prototyping and test setups to validate solutions.
• Experience with plastics or metal manufacturing (injection molding, sheet metal, aluminum).

Responsibilities

• Develop next-generation Bins and improve existing Bin/Grid products.
• Create and modify 3D models and drawings; participate in design reviews.
• Plan, execute and evaluate product and system testing.
• Work with materials and manufacturing requirements to ensure high-volume production.
• Contribute across full product lifecycle from concept to mass production.
