Job summary

CTS Group in Norway is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre to design and deliver large-scale data centre projects, focusing on HVAC, cooling, piping and thermal systems.

You will collaborate with international teams on multidisciplinary projects, preparing calculations, drawings, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with ASME, ISO, and ASHRAE standards. Senior roles include mentoring engineers and leading design activities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience (Junior)
• 5–10 years of mechanical design experience (Senior)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, piping, pumps, and thermal systems
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks or similar design software
• Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and ASHRAE standards
• Experience in Data Centres, industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or other complex projects is highly desirable
• Strong English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems including HVAC, cooling, piping, pumps, and thermal systems.
• Prepare and validate mechanical calculations, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with Electrical, Structural, Civil, and other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, ASHRAE, and applicable local standards.
• Participate in design reviews, technical coordination, and risk assessments.
• Support project delivery, technical documentation, and client coordination.
• For Senior/Lead roles: mentor engineers, lead design activities, manage project deliverables, and provide technical leadership.

About the Role

We are hiringMechanical Engineers at Junior, Senior levelsto join our engineering team in Norway, supporting the design and delivery oflarge-scale Data Centre and mission-critical projects.
