Job summary

A.G. Rhodes in Georgia is hiring a Full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide direct respiratory care to elders and collaborate with the clinical team.

The RT performs assessments, manages equipment, and educates patients and families in accordance with regulations and policies. Requirements include graduation from an accredited RT program, Georgia license in good standing, CPR certification, and two years of experience in a Skilled Nursing setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of experience in Skilled Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive respiratory assessments and documents findings.
• Administers prescribed respiratory therapies including nebulizers and oxygen.
• Set up, manages, and monitors respiratory equipment and devices.
• Educates elders, families, and staff on respiratory conditions and device use.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to develop care plans.
• Provides tracheostomy care and airway management as applicable.
• Demonstrates adherence to infection prevention standards and safety protocols.
