Job summary

Subsurface AS in Stavanger seeks an experienced Material & Logistics Advisor for an exciting commitment in the Norwegian oil and gas industry. You will become part of a project team, coordinating logistics, material management and SAP processes to support cost-efficient delivery.

The role requires 5+ years' experience, higher education in SCM/logistics or engineering, and fluency in English and Norwegian. The position is permanent with competitive terms, starting as agreed.

Material & Logistics Advisor – Oil & Gas Project Subsurface AS is looking for an experienced Material & Logistics Advisor for an exciting assignment within the Norwegian oil and gas industry.

We are seeking a structured and solution-oriented professional with solid experience in Material Management, logistics and Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will become an integrated member of a larger project team and play a key role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective material and logistics processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

As Material & Logistics Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate and follow up project logistics activities
• Ensure efficient Material Management (MM) and optimized material flow
• Establish and maintain project logistics and material management plans
• Identify and implement improvements to material and logistics workflows
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels between the project, contractors and suppliers
• Coordinate warehousing, transportation and material handling activities
• Ensure cost-effective solutions for material management and logistics
• Implement and follow up relevant SAP processes in accordance with the project's SCM strategies and requirements
• Support material master data, cataloguing and quality assurance processes
• Ensure an efficient handover of materials, system data and documentation from the project to the operations organization
• Act as the project focal point towards contractors and suppliers for Material Management and logistics matters

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• Relevant higher education within Supply Chain Management, logistics, business, engineering or a related discipline
• Relevant experience within Material Management and logistics, preferably from major oil and gas projects
• Good understanding of Supply Chain Management and project logistics
• Experience with SAP, preferably SAP MM
• Experience with material master data, cataloguing and material control
• Good understanding of the interfaces between projects, procurement, logistics, warehousing and operations
• Good communication skills in both English and Norwegian, written and spoken

Relevant and documented industry experience may compensate for a lack of formal higher education.
