Job summary
Kongsberg Maritime is strengthening its Global Customer Support team in Handling Systems, SSP. The office-based role is in Ålesund or Hjørungavåg, with occasional commissioning/upgrade activities worldwide.
You will support a global fleet, troubleshoot electrical, automation, mechanical, and hydraulic issues, and contribute to product improvements. We welcome candidates with Electrical & Automation or Mechanical & Hydraulic backgrounds and good English communication skills.
Qualifications
- Relevant technical education and/or practical experience within Electrical & Automation or Mechanical & Hydraulic disciplines.
- Experience from technical support, maintenance, commissioning or service work.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, PLC-based systems, electrical troubleshooting and/or hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for our handling systems portfolio and customers worldwide.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, automation, mechanical and hydraulic issues.
- Support service personnel during maintenance, commissioning and upgrade activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, recommendations and spare parts advice.
- Contribute to product improvements, technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
