Job summary

Pascal Technologies, based in Oslo, seeks an experienced software leader to drive the software development team for marine propulsion tech. You will set the technical direction, remain hands-on with architecture and coding, and collaborate closely with hardware engineering to deliver integrated solutions on ships.

You will mentor developers, build a growing software organization from an early stage, and travel domestically and internationally as delivery schedules require.

Qualifications

4-10+ years of relevant software leadership experience.
Solid experience with embedded software development.
Experience leading, mentoring, or managing software developers.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow the software team; set technical direction.
Own the overall software architecture across embedded, application, and data layers.
Establish and maintain engineering practices: code quality, testing, code reviews, release processes.
Stay hands-on with software architecture, coding, and troubleshooting with the team.
Coordinate with hardware teams to align software and hardware development.
Recruit and onboard new software developers as the team scales.
Support commissioning, installation, and testing of systems at customer sites when needed.
