Norconsult, a leading pan-Nordic interdisciplinary consultancy, invites a graduate or junior consultant to join our marine structures team in Trondheim, working on floating aquaculture systems and renewable energy projects.

From day one you will contribute to projects, learn from experienced engineers, take on real responsibility, and develop your design, analysis, and numerical modelling skills in a collaborative, mentorship‑driven environment with social events and a Young Council.

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in Marine Technology, Structural Engineering, or related (final year students or up to 5 years of experience)
• Strong analytical skills and interest in structural design, analysis, and numerical modelling
• Good written and spoken English; Norwegian is an advantage
• Knowledge of FE software (Abaqus, Ansys, DNV SESAM) and 3D modelling tools (Autodesk Inventor) is an advantage
• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages is an advantage

Responsabilités

• Structural design and analysis of marine structures
• Concept development and design of marine structures, such as floating aquaculture containment systems
• Assessment of structural response to environmental loads
• Analysis of slender marine structures and hydroelastic systems
• Structural verification against relevant design standards and site conditions
• Collaboration with hydrodynamic and other engineering disciplines
• Preparation of calculations, reports and technical documentation
