Job summary

CHC Helicopter Service AS in Stavanger/Sola, Norway, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the Part-145 organisation and act as the nominated EASA Part-145 Postholder, ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance and operational excellence across Norwegian bases.

You will develop a high-performing maintenance workforce, drive safety culture, manage budgets, coordinate with Supply Chain, and travel between bases to uphold standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain NCAA approval as an EASA Part-145 Postholder.
  • Strong working knowledge of EASA and Norwegian CAA regulations.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience within an aviation maintenance environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of aircraft maintenance practices, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
  • Experience leading teams through change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Norwegian and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Monitor and achieve relevant operational and business KPIs.
  • Manage labour costs in line with budgets.

Maintenance Manager

Role Summary

CHC Helicopter Service AS is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Manager to join our team based in Stavanger/Sola. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the Part-145 organisation in Norway and fulfils the responsibilities of the nominated EASA Part-145 Postholder, ensuring compliance with all requirements of the maintenance organisation approval and applicable regulations. As a visible leader and role model, you will lead, develop, and motivate a highly skilled maintenance workforce across our Norwegian bases, driving a culture of safety, compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing and engaged maintenance workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
  • Fulfil the responsibilities of the nominated EASA Part-145 Postholder.
  • Promote and drive a strong safety culture across all maintenance operations.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient execution of aircraft maintenance activities.

  • Travel regularly between operational bases to ensure consistent standards and compliance.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required within the scope of the role.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
Essential:
  • Ability to obtain approval from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) as an EASA Part-145 Postholder.
  • Strong working knowledge of EASA and Norwegian CAA regulations.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience within an aviation maintenance environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of aircraft maintenance practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Experience leading teams through change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
